c/ Escar 1, if you want to dine by the sea but aren't in the mood for a traditional seafood restaurant try this Cuban on the tip of the peninsula with good mojitos and tango on Wednesday nights.

Restaurante Rias de Miño
c/ Almirall Cervera 39, on the sea side of the Barcelonetta peninsula with a fabulous boardwalk, sea-views, and good fish dishes.

c/ Carabassa 19, funky place serving everything from breakfast, to a lunch menu, to dinner and drinks, open every day all day.

Crema Canela
Plaça Reial, good service, delicious Mediterranean food, good menu deals, rarely the line you will find around the corner at Les Quinze Nits, open Sundays.

La Fonda
c/ Escudellers 10, pleasant decor, Mediterranean style food, and inexpensive menu deals.

Irati
c/ Cardenal Casañas 17, Basque tapas bar featuring traditional items from the north of Spain, including cider, enjoyably located near Plaça de Pi.

Juicy Jones
c/ Cardenal Casañas 7, vegetarian restaurant especially popular with the traveling set, also has a great array of fresh juices, open until midnight every day except Mondays.

Squeez
c/ Comtal 33, fun decor, healthy juice smoothies, jogurt drinks, wraps, and soups, open mornings Monday through Saturday and afternoons on Sunday.

Les Quinze Nits
Plaça Reial 6, a very reasonable chain restaurant that serves lunch and dinner and always has a long line due to its popularity with visitors and locals alike.

El Born
Paseo del Born 26, a tavern in the heart of the Born neighborhood serving fishes, patés, fondu, also a good place to just go for a drink.

Covas de Savela
c/ del Comerç 29, situated in the fun Born neighborhood, regional food at reasonable prices.

El Foro
c/ Princesa 53, good spot for dinner or drinks, Mediterranian cuisine.

Little Italy
Paseo del Born 30, Italian and Mediterranean food, live jazz, dixieland, swing on Wednesday and Thursday nights, closed Sundays.

Nao Colón
av/ Marqués de l'Argentera 19, modern cuisine in the restaurant upstairs, DJs spinning house downstairs Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, closed Sundays.

Sagardi
c/ Argenteria 62, very good traditional Basque cuisine, cider, and txacoli, also has a sunny terraza that is great for people watching.

c/ Muntaner 111, simple decor but good Korean food at a reasonable price, go with a group to take advantage of sharing a wide array of dishes.

c/ Mallorca at Rambla Catalunya, crowded slightly, pricey tapas and montaditos bar with excellent selection, atmosphere, and quality, thry their white sangria
made from cava.

La Chiringuito
c/ Pau Claris 151, fun and colorful decor, good meat and salad dishes, inexpensive lunch menu, and special menus for large groups.

Jose Luís Cervecería
c/ Diagonal 520, a traditional tapas and montaditos bar in a very pleasant neighbourhood.
